Course Details

Qualifications

The level 3 Child Psychology Diploma is continually assessed throughout your studies.  You will complete assignments during the course which are then sent off to your personal tutor for assessment.  You tutor will then provide you with feedback on your progress.  Your assessments will determine your success on the course.

Once you have finished the course successfully you will be awarded for the Education Development International (EDI) Level 3 Diploma in Child Psychology.

EDI is a principle awarding body who specialise in vocational learning program certification.

Taking the course will develop your understanding of children and the needs of a child’s care. Accreditation of the EDI Level 3 Diploma in Child Psychology will ensure you stand out from the crowd with potential employers when applying for jobs.

Study Details

The Child Psychology course is divided into 2 modules with each module containing 10 units each. The modules/units will gradually teach you all the different aspects involved in child psychology with each of the units structured in a logical order to continually increase your knowledge and let you learn at your own pace.

There are a total of 20 study units and you will be set 3 assignments over the course of the training.  Your assignments should then be submitted to your personal tutor for assessment.  Your tutor will provide you with helpful feedback and advice on your progress.  Your assignments will contribute towards your final certification.

The majority of students should complete the course with approximately 120 hours of study.  An example of how you may break your study down is shown below:

Prior knowledge of the course subject is not necessary.

Careers

The Diploma in Child Psychology will allow you to apply for positions as a Nursery Assistant or Child Minder and have earnings potential of around £12,000* per annum.
